Server time actually tries to stay consistent with the general location. I play a Eastern server. So about 7-8 o'clock the sun on the game starts to go down. It turns black about 9PM. The sun will start to rise about 5-6 AM on the game. :-) It changed during day lights saving time. So now the sun goes down on the same a bit later and rise earlier too.

If you just decided for some reason to play on a UK server, you can log on 3PM your normal time and the environment will match the time in the UK.

depends on time of the year. In the summer it starts later, in the winter it starts earlier just like IRL. find a server in your time zone and go on at about midnight, then go to a place like the barrens it will be darker than like stormwind

For example one server might have pacific time of 800 while another might have pacific time with 500 it really depends each server might have eastern time of 800 while another might have pacific time with 500 it really doesnt matter unless you go to night double check.
